Guide to Recycling in High Point

WHY YOU SHOULD RECYCLE
It saves valuable landfill space. It reduces air and water pollution. It protects our natural resources. It's quick and easy!
HOW TO RECYCLE
Recyclables will be picked
up once a week from the curb on your regular garbage collection day.
Place your green recycling bin at the curb by 7 a.m. with your garbage cart. If you need a free bin, call 883-3111. You may also purchase a recycling cart.
If you move, leave the bin behind. It belongs to the City of High Point.
If you have lots of recyclables, you may prefer to use a wheeled cart.
To buy a 35-gallon recycling cart, bring $35 to the City Collector's office at 211 South Hamilton Street, or mail a check to: City Collector, P.O. Box 230, High Point, NC 27261.
HOW RECYCLING WORKS
Recyclables will be taken to the City's Material Recovery Facility, 5875 Riverdale Road, where they will be prepared to be sold. Recyclables will be made into new products, such as carpeting, fabric, bottles, cans, and newspapers.
