Our youth athletic programs are focused on the total development of the child. "We do not place emphasis on winning." Our mission at High Point Parks & Recreation is to provide a positive sports experience for children and their parents. Our program philosophy emphasizes spotsmanship, camaraderie, fun and safety.

2011 Youth Basketball League - AthleticsFee:$40.00 per personDeadline for enrollment: 12/10/10 Sign up today for our annual Youth Basketball League. League divisions are ages 7 and 8, 10 and under, 12 and under, 14 and under. Age is as of January 1, 2011. A certified copy of the participant's birth certificate is required when registering. You may register at any recreation center or the administration office at 136 Northpoint Avenue. |
Bumble Bee Basketball - Morehead Recreation CenterSaturdayOctober 2, 2010 - November 30, 2010 9:30a.m.-12p.m. Fee:$35.00 per person Deadline for enrollment: 9/30/10 Information & Registration This is a league for ages 3 and 4 designed to teach sportsmanship and teamwork. We strive to get children involved in athletics at an early age by teaching them to work together as a team. It helps with sharing and getting them acquainted with other children. Our goal is for them to learn the basics of basketball, meet new friends and work together while having fun. There is no pressure put on them since the score is not an issue. Each participant will receive their own mini basketball, T-shirt and medal. |
Little Flags Football - Oakview Recreation CenterTuesday, Thursday, SaturdayOctober 2, 2010 - November 20, 2010 6-7:30p.m. (Tuesday & Thursday); 10a.m.-12p.m. (Saturday) Fee:$30.00 per person Deadline for enrollment: 9/30/10 Information & Registration The program is a great way to introduce your child to the game of football. Our coaches teach the fundamentals of football and game rules. Participants will receive a T-shirt and trophy. This league focus is on skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship and fun. We will have a parent's meeting at 10a.m. on Saturday, October 2. |
