    I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream. Come out and join us for ice cream and socializing with people in the area. Let us know what kind of programs you want at Southside Recreation Center.

    Deadline for enrollment: 1 week prior to each session
    This community camp is available to all youth ages 5-13. We are sure you will have the summer of your life with all the activities we have planned.

    Daily Enrichment Program

    Monday-Thursday
    August 30, 2010 - October 28, 2010
    3:30-4:30p.m. 
    This program will provide youth ages 5-10 with homework assistance, increase reading skills and group activities.

    Dance Your Body Tone

    Tuesday & Thursday
    August 17, 2010 - September 16, 2010
    6:30-7:30p.m. 

    Fee:$5.00 per person/per week
    Exercise without even realizing it! Come and enjoy an hour of fun and dance while you tone your body.

    Weight Room

    Monday-Thursday
    9a.m.-9p.m. 

    Universal weight stations for full body workout. Machines include 10 stations of equipment to exercise for lower and upper body.

    WOW (Walking Off Weight)

    Monday-Friday
    12-2p.m. 

    Adults will be able to use the gymnasium to walk/run laps during the morning and lunch hours. This program can be used to increase overall health and fitness.

    10,000 Pennies for the Kids

    Monday-Saturday
    9a.m.-9p.m. (Monday-Thursday); 9a.m.-6p.m. (Friday); 9a.m.-1p.m. (Saturday) 
    We will run a penny drive until November 23. During this time we have set a goal of 10,000 pennies which will equal $100.00. Once we meet this goal or more, we will purchase gifts for our Breakfast with Santa program.

    Back to School Round Robin of Games

    Let's get off to a great school year. Come out and join in on the games and a limited give-a-way of school supplies.

    Family Game Night

    Monday
    5:30-7:30p.m. 
    We will have board games, checkers and card games for you and your family to play. Come out and enjoy yourself with some family time. Program runs through August 30.

    Jumbo Game Day

    Monday
    September 6, 2010
    10a.m.-2p.m. 
    Celebrate Labor Day with us and join in on the jumbo games day.

    Southside Neighborhood Association Meeting

    A monthly meeting to keep citizens of the community actively involved in projects, events and community plans. We welcome your ideas and suggestions at these meetings. Attending these meetings will keep you informed about the revitalization plans for this area.
