    The program is a great way to introduce your child to the game of football. Our coaches teach the fundamentals of football and game rules. Participants will receive a T-shirt and trophy. This league focus is on skill development, teamwork, sportsmanship and fun. We will have a parent's meeting at 10a.m. on Saturday, October 2.

    Little Kickers Soccer

    Bring your budding star out for Little Kickers Soccer! This instructional league is for boys and girls between the ages of 3 and 6. This is a great way to make friends, enjoy the last of the beautiful weather and run off some of that energy.

    Thinking about soccer this fall? Then be sure to sign up today for our soccer camp. This 2-day instructional camp will help your little one, ages 3-6 learn some of the basic skills needed to participate in the upcoming Little Kickers Soccer League. Come out for two fun evenings of running, kicking and blocking.

    Have you always wanted to give your little one the opportunity to get started early in Basketball? Now is your chance. We are taking registration for 3 & 4 year olds to learn the basics of basketball. Get ready to watch them make their first basket or maybe even a slam dunk.

    Shooting Stars

    Fee:$2.00 per person
    Deadline for enrollment: 8/13/10
    Show off your shooting skills. Mats will be placed on the gym floor with each representing a point value. Shooters will have 45 seconds to score as many points as you can. There will be 3 rounds and points do not carry over to the next round. The top 4 will advance to the second round, with the top 2 advancing to the championship round. The shooter with the most points will win. In case of a tie, a 30-second shootout will be held. Participants will be divided into two age groups; 6-8 & 9-12. Trophys will be awarded.

    Give your kid a great summer experience with a Summer Sleepover. We will have a pizza dinner followed by a night full of activities and games. Come and see what the Center is like at night. Youth must be picked up by 8a.m. Saturday morning.

    After School Program

    Fee:$125.00 per month
    This program provides a fun, safe environment for your child. Dedicated staff supervise participants as they complete homework, play gym and outside games, create arts and crafts projects, go on field trip and have special events. This program operates on days when school is in session.

    Little Flags Football Camp

    Bring the kids out for a fun, instructional 2 nights of Flag Football. This 2-day camp will help prepare participants for the upcoming Little Flags Football League by working on the basic skills needed to play.

    Summer Baseball Camp

    Fee:$15.00 per person
    This 2-day camp will teach your player new skill development techniques and increase their knowledge of the game. For ages 5-12.

    Trailblazers Summer Camp

    Monday-Friday
    7:30a.m.-6p.m. 
    Fee:$65.00 per week, plus activity fees
    Summer program for rising middle school youth. Participants are supervised as they participate in organized game time, outdoor play, arts & crafts, field trips, guest speakers, community service, movies, skits, discussion groups, educational programs and more. Lunch and one snack are provided daily. Parents are responsible for an additional snack. Registration is done by the week. Participants can pick a particular week they want to attend or they can sign up for the whole summer. Program runs through the week of August 16.

    Y.E.S. Summer Day Camp - Youth Exploring Summer

    Monday-Friday
    7:30a.m.-6p.m. 
    Fee:$65.00 per week, plus activity fees
    Oakview provides a fun and safe environment for elementary students to spend their summer. Participants are supervised as they participate in a variety of activities from group games, gym times, field trips, guest speakers, movies, dances, skits, talent shows, educational activities and much more. Lunch and one snack are provided each day. Parents are responsible for additional snack. Registration is done on a weekly basis so parents can choose particular weeks for their child to attend or they may sign up for the entire summer. Program is for rising K-5th graders. Program runs through the week of August 16.

    Dog Obedience

    Instructor: Shirley Probert & Jean Wright
    Qualified instructors teach pet owners techniques to train their dogs using verbal and hand commands. Basic commands such as sit and stay, ways to walk with your dog, as well as socialization with other dogs and people are taught. Owners leave the class with a set of tools to better train their dogs. Participants must bring the pet's shot record, a 6' non-retractable leash, a choke collar and treats.

    Start Smart

    Are you looking for a way to give your 3-5 year old a head start on their education? This program is designed with them in mind. This program gives your child the opportunity to learn their ABC's, numbers, holidays and color recognition through staff interaction and activity sheets.     A basic fitness class offered to seniors ages 56 and up, to improve their health and fitness. These senior friendly exercises work to increase flexibility, circulation and overall health.

    Dance This….Hip Hop/African Dance Class

    Fee:$20.00 per month
    Instructor: Alana Frost
    Instructional dance class for youth ages 5-13 in hip-hop, african and jazz. This is a fun, energetic class where participants will learn moves, techniques and routines for a bi-annual recital. All levels of experience are welcome. Program will run on a monthly basis beginning August 5.

    GO FAR

    Deadline for enrollment: 9/24/10
    This program is for students currently in elementary and middle school. The program goal is to help each participant train for and complete a 5-kilometer road race while also promoting healthy living. Each program session will incorporate physical and mental training. Each week the participants will study a different topic that is aimed towards character building. Examples of these topics include sportsmanship, caring and responsibility. Each session during the week will also have a different theme that is designed to teach the participants life skills. Examples of these life skills include nutrition, self defense and proper and healthy exercise techniques. At the completion of the 10-week training, each participant will be given the opportunity to complete the 5-kilometer road race. Parents and family members are permitted and encouraged to complete the road race with their child. The race date is set by GO FAR and will be announced during training.

    Hoopla Fitness Class

    Getting bored with your old workout routine? Come and try a free session that will take you back to your younger years and hula hoop for fun.     Young Champions - Cheer America

    Deadline for enrollment: 3rd Class
    This fun, 17-week course is for children ages 4-14 is designed to teach cheer techniques and routines. Participants will have the opportunity to participate in a parade and competition. Students completing the course with perfect attendance will receive a cheer medal. Students participating in the competition will also receive awards.

    Young Champions - Children's Self Defense/Karate

    Fee:$7.00 registration fee, $7.00 per class
    Deadline for enrollment: 3rd Class
    This fun course for children ages 5-14 is designed for self-defense purposes emphasizing child safety awareness. A certified black belt will teach various basic self-defense/Karate techniques and forms. Students completing the course with perfect attendance will receive a Karate medal. Testing is available for rank promotion.

    AHOY Trip - Greenway Walk & Picnic

    Join us at the Piedmont Environmental Center for an informative walk along the Greenway. The PEC staff will lead the walk and help participants identify birds and their calls. The morning will conclude with a picnic lunch at the tables by the pond at Mendenall Place.

    AHOY Trip - Shallowford Popcorn Farm

    Seniors will travel to Shallowford Popcorn Farm for a tour of the facility and a visit to the giftshop. Registration fee to be paid at Shallowford Popcorn Farm for admission.

    Halloween Boozaar

    Fee:$3.00 - Entry fee includes 8 tickets
    Bring out your kids for a fun, safe Halloween event. Carnival games will be set up in the gym for youth to play and win prizes and candy. Arts and crafts projects will be available as well as bingo for parents. Come dressed to impress. The evening will conclude with a costume contest at 7:45pm. Prizes will be awarded for scariest, funniest, cutest and most original. Additional carnival game tickets can be purchased for $0.25 each.
