Adult Athletics
The City of High Point Parks & Recreation Department sponsors team sport leagues for spring and fall adult softball and adult basketball, and men's flag football. We strongly believe our programs are ways for adults to maintain active lifestyles.
The department will accept a team registration form for complete team entries only. Teams will pay a team registration fee to the department that will cover the department's cost to include the team into the league. This fee does not include the cost of any player equipment or uniforms.

Adult Men's and Women's Basketball League - AthleticsFee:$440.00 per teamAdult Basketball will include Open, Recreational, Church and Industrial leagues. Leagues will play a minimum 12-game schedule with a single elimination tournament. Trophies will be awarded to team regular season champion with 12 individuals, team regular season runner-up, team tournament champion with 12 individuals, team tournament runner-up. NFHS basketball rules will be followed with modifications. Season will be held December 3 - February 19. Deadline for entry is November 29. |
Adult Men's and Women's Basketball League - Organizational Meeting - AthleticsWednesdayOctober 29, 2008 7p.m. Fee:$440.00 per team Adult basketball leagues for Industrial, Church, Recreational and Open League play. Coed Adult Kickball - Allen Jay Recreation CenterWednesday & FridaySeptember 10, 2008 - October 17, 2008 6-8p.m. Fee:$125.00 per team Deadline for enrollment: 08/25/08 Informational Poster Kickball Waiver Form Kickball Roster Form Let's take it back to the playground! If you loved playing kickball as a kid, we are sure that you will love it even more as an adult. Our adult kickball league is sure to provide you with lots of fun, exercise and great competition. This coed league will consist of regular season games and a tournament. Team rosters must be turned in with registration. There is a limit of ten people per team. There will be a mandatory meeting on Wednesday, September 3 at 7p.m. with all teams or team captains. Someone must be present to represent each team. |
Thanksgiving All-Star Shoot-Out and Dunk Contest - Southside Recreation CenterFridayNovember 28, 2008 1-4p.m. Fee:$20.00 per person Deadline for enrollment: 11/14/08 Information & Registration Show us your skills! This will be the perfect platform to not only talk the talk, but walk the walk. Event will feature a team competition shoot-out, three-point shoot-out and a dunking contest. An event for all ages that will also feature music, fun and a safe family environment. |
