For sworn positions: High School diploma $33,654; 2-yr degree or 60 hrs. $35,337; bachelor's degree $37,019. Benefits Offered include:

Command Inspection
Qualifications to become a High Point Police Officer:
Be a United States citizen
Be at least 21 years of age at the completion of training
Have no felony, DWI, nor serious misdemeanor conviction
Have a valid North Carolina driver's license (or be eligible to obtain one)
Have vision corrected to 20/20
Have at least a high school diploma or GED (College is preferred and required for promotion)
Must pass thorough background investigation
Must pass departmental physical agility test
Must pass psychological test
Must pass polygraph test Must pass medical screening
