TECHNICAL SERVICES DIVISION

The High Point Fire Department's technical services division, led by Deputy Chief Keith Price, is composed of fleet maintenance, building maintenance, and logistics divisions.

The fleet maintenance shop is located at Headquarters Fire Station on South Elm Street. The fleet maintenance division is staffed with three personnel, which includes Maintenance Supervisor Randy Campbell, and three apparatus technicians, Danny White and John Motsinger and Allen Cheek. These mechanics maintain all fire apparatus, emergency and non-emergency vehicles, and firefighting equipment through preventative maintenance and technical repairs. The fleet consists of 24 emergency response vehicles and 31 support vehicles.

Mike Hackett came on board with the department in 2004 as our building maintenance technician. His duties include maintenance and general repairs on 14 stations and the training academy, lawn maintenance, and many other upgrades to enhance the operations of the stations.

Teddi Yates in the logistics division has the responsibilities of procuring and delivering supplies for the daily operations of the department, maintaining breathing equipment, issuing firefighting equipment and clothing to all personnel.
