The High Point Fire Department's emergency management office develops plans for responding to and recovering from disasters, and is High Point's liaison with the Guilford County Local Emergency Planning Committee.
Through the department's Community Relations Unit, information about how to manage emergencies is provided to High Point residents before disasters strike.
Securing federal assistance and disaster reimbursement is also one of the Emergency Management's major functions.
