Utility Bill Payment Options

Drive-Thru Locations.

 First Bank locations will be accept City of High Point utility payments at no cost to you. Only cash or check payments are accepted by the banks. And, you MUST bring your entire bill when making your payment at either bank.

If your services have been cut off for non-payment or if you have questions about your account, you must go to a city facility for assistance, or call 883-3111.

First Bank
1200 N. Main St., High Point
            and
11410 N. Main St., Archdale
Monday - Thursday, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Friday - 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Please remember that your wait in the bank drive-thru line may be longer at the first of the month. At peak times, you may want to pay at another payment location.

 

Cash or Check

We accept both cash and checks at all of the payment locations - City Hall at the Mall and our customer service center in City Hall. If you return your payment by mail please use a check.

Credit or Debit Cards

credit cardsUse your Visa/MasterCard and Discover to pay for utilities and other city services. We accept credit card payments at all our payment sites  City Hall at the Mall and our customer service center in City Hall. We also accept debit cards at  those sites. We accept credit card payments by phone, too. Payments made by phone or web before 5:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time will be posted to your utility account the same business day, Monday - Friday (except holidays). Payments made after 5:30 p.m. will be posted the next business day. Payments made by 6:00 p.m. Eastern Standard Time at City Hall at the Mall will be posted that same day.

Pay Online Utility Bills or Non-Utility Bills

Use your Visa/MasterCard, Discover or Check to pay for utilities and other city services.

Checking over the Phone

callYour check transaction amount will be processed electronically. For your records you will receive an authorization number, however this does not mean this transaction has cleared your bank. Payments made before 5:30 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time) will be posted to your utility account the same business day, Monday - Friday (except holidays). Payments made after 5:30 p.m. will be posted the next business day.

Automatic bank  draft

We will draft your checking or savings account each month for your utility payment. When you select bank draft, we'll send you a utility bill stating the date that the draft will be made. The typical draft date is ten days after the billing date, excluding weekends and holidays.
