Native of Wilson, N. C.; resident of High Point since 1962; married to Thomas E. (Ed) Smothers; three children; four grandchildren.
Graduated from UNC-Greensboro with a Bachelor's degree in sociology; took graduate courses toward Master's in family life and child development at UNC-G.City Council Terms - Council Committee Service
