How Can You Help?

There are lots of ways to join the movement to create an urban style of living for High Point. The City Project is committed to building a public-private collaboration to support this initiative. In order to accomplish the goals set before us, our community must come together as a grassroots movement to demonstrate our support, energy and pride for this city. Here is a list of some ways you can get involved!

Shop locally and support our local economy. The City Project is currently working to create incentives for businesses to relocate to areas like Uptowne High Point and South Main so that residents will no longer feel the need to travel to neighboring cities for retail and dining.
Take advantage of social media and help promote the revitilization effort through Facebook, YouTube and Twitter.
Be an advocate. Get out there and let your voice be heard as we continue to remind local officials, property owners, retailers and residents that we can accomplish this mission with their support.
Join one of our existing grassroots groups, or start your own in another area of town. Currently, committees have been established to lead the efforts in the districts of Uptowne High Point, Washington Drive and South Main/GTCC. Get creative. Become a fundraiser and a friendraiser. While The City Project has primarily been funded by the city, we need to generate new resources to help carry out the vision of this project. Share the news and speak with other civic groups you may be involved with around the community and decide if there is a particular part of this initiative that you would like to support.
Build excitement! We are so fortunate to live and work in a city that has so many unique qualities. There are some very big ideas on the table that need the support of each and every citizen to become a reality. Help us plan and promote special events and retail promotions that bring our community members together to celebrate our city and join in the vision of creating an urban style of living for High Point.
