This conversion will be a work in progress and is designed to provide the viewer with the quickest and most accurate information available. 2009-2010 Adopted Budget is now available.  Hometown Green The City of High Point in conjunction with the North Carolina Municipal Power Agency1 (NCMPA1) has launched new energy efficiency programs to encourage energy conservation and efficient energy use. NCMPA1 consists of 19 cities and towns in the piedmont and western North Carolina, including High Point. See the details. Free Energy Audit At Your Home "Free Energy Audit At Your Home" is a new program the City of High Point is offering to residential customers on its electric system. The audit will show you how your home is using energy and ways you can conserve. This could result in hundreds of dollars in energy savings each year. See the details. Employability Sessions The High Point JobLink Career Center offers a variety of employability sessions to prepare you for getting a job, exploring new careers, or going to school!  Guilford County Solid Waste Management Plan Guilford County is again working to update its solid waste management plan. The final plan document must be adopted by the cities, towns and the County and be submitted to the state by June 30, 2009. Your input is strongly encouraged, and will be considered in the development of the 2009 plan update. Energy Depot: Home Energy Audit

City of High Point electric customers who complete a do-it-yourself Home Energy Audit at www.high-point.net/custsrv/depot.cfm will receive an energy conservation kit free, while supplies last. The kit will be placed in the mail to each customer.
